At Shaheen Public School, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. Child Safety Month is observed to promote awareness about children's rights, personal safety, and the importance of creating a secure and respectful learning environment.
Through interactive sessions, awareness activities, and classroom discussions, students learn to recognise safe and unsafe situations, build confidence to speak up, and understand that seeking help is always the right choice. Parents and teachers work together to ensure every child feels protected, valued, and hear.
POSCO Act, 2012: The Protection of children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act, 2012 is a special law that protects all children below the age of 18 from sexual abuse, harassment, exploitation, and pornography. It provides child-friendly procedures for reporting, investigation, and trial while safeguarding the child's privacy and dignity.
The Act encourages timely reporting of offences and ensures strict legal action against offenders, reinforcing every child's right to a safe and secure childhood.
