Inter School Competition

Our school had conducted an Inter School Competition on 19th January, 2019. Approximately, 13 schools had participated in this competition. The competition consisted of three categories which were Qir’at, Hamd and Naat. The Qir’at is the recitation of Holy Qur’an with proper pronunciation and rhythm. Hamd is praising and thanking the Almighty Allah and Naat is what is said about our last prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). It was really a religious and melodious occasion with all recitation of the Holy Qur’an and singing of Islamic Nasheeds. As our school was organizing this competition,  we were the host and from our school, six students had participated. And roughly, there were almost 50 students who had participated in this competition. Parents and students from their respective schools / classes also came to witness the competition.

The chief guest of this ceremony was Dr. Mohammad Aslam, former Vice Chancellor of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi Nation Open University). There were some children who recited the Holy Qur’an so beautifully that people were mesmerized by it. The student who got the first position in Qir’at was one of our school student, whose name is Faiz Ahmad Siddique (Class VIII). The students who were at second and third position for this ceremony respectively were Saima (Class VII) of Milli Model School, and Umair Khan (Class X) of Sunrise Public School. The students who were ranked first, second and third position for Hamd respectively were, Nisha Parveen (Class VII) of Milli Model School, Sara Anwar (Class VI) of Ideal Public School, and Isra (Class VII) from God’s Grace School. Kulsum (Class VIII) of Milli Model School, Samina Wajid (Class VI) of Ideal Public School, and Farheen (Class VII) of God’s Grace School secured first, second and third position respectively.

It was really an overwhelming feeling to see everyone enjoying the competition. Rest of the students also got excited and motivated to participate in the next program.

All the winners were awarded by our respected Chief Guest of the ceremony. He also shared few inspiring and motivating words for all of us and that was indeed very inspiring. He shared some of his personal experience which were really reflecting for students as well as teachers. The event concluded with our melodious school Tarana. Students were given refreshments and all returned to their homes with a beautiful smile. We would love to have another occasion like this next year, Insha Allah.
