Inter
School Competition
Our
school had conducted an Inter School Competition on 19th January,
2019. Approximately, 13 schools had participated in this competition. The
competition consisted of three categories which were Qir’at, Hamd and Naat. The
Qir’at is the recitation of Holy Qur’an with proper pronunciation and rhythm.
Hamd is praising and thanking the Almighty Allah and Naat is what is said about
our last prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). It was really a religious and
melodious occasion with all recitation of the Holy Qur’an and singing of
Islamic Nasheeds. As our school was organizing this competition, we were the host and from our school, six
students had participated. And roughly, there were almost 50 students who had
participated in this competition. Parents and students from their respective
schools / classes also came to witness the competition.
The
chief guest of this ceremony was Dr. Mohammad Aslam, former Vice Chancellor of
IGNOU (Indira Gandhi Nation Open University). There were some children who
recited the Holy Qur’an so beautifully that people were mesmerized by it. The
student who got the first position in Qir’at was one of our school student,
whose name is Faiz Ahmad Siddique (Class VIII). The students who were at second
and third position for this ceremony respectively were Saima (Class VII) of
Milli Model School, and Umair Khan (Class X) of Sunrise Public School. The
students who were ranked first, second and third position for Hamd respectively
were, Nisha Parveen (Class VII) of Milli Model School, Sara Anwar (Class VI) of
Ideal Public School, and Isra (Class VII) from God’s Grace School. Kulsum (Class
VIII) of Milli Model School, Samina Wajid (Class VI) of Ideal Public School,
and Farheen (Class VII) of God’s Grace School secured first, second and third
position respectively.
It
was really an overwhelming feeling to see everyone enjoying the competition.
Rest of the students also got excited and motivated to participate in the next
program.
All the winners were
awarded by our respected Chief Guest of the ceremony. He also shared few inspiring
and motivating words for all of us and that was indeed very inspiring. He
shared some of his personal experience which were really reflecting for
students as well as teachers. The event concluded with our melodious school
Tarana. Students were given refreshments and all returned to their homes with a
beautiful smile. We would love to have another occasion like this next year,
Insha Allah.
